In 2024, driven by a passion for science and a responsibility to act, we set out to harness the extraordinary potential of algae. From capturing carbon and releasing oxygen, to producing nutrient-rich superfoods and climate-positive materials, algae offer a blueprint for a healthier balance between people and the planet.
Our journey is just beginning, but our mission is clear: to pioneer algae-based solutions that nourish communities, empower industries, and safeguard ecosystems. What started as a vision in Tamil Nadu’s sunlit coasts and fertile plains is now a growing movement — proving that even the smallest organisms can spark the biggest change.
We have been researching several species and strains in our facility to identify the most effective and efficient species that will yield high levels of Protein, Pigments, Lipids, Micronutrients, minerals and biotech extracts.
Vaibhav Mehta is the Co-founder and CTO of Algology, where he drives the company’s research, development, and process innovation. With a strong belief that algae represent the future of nutrition, he is committed to transforming scientific discovery into sustainable health solutions for people and the planet.
Holding a PhD in Biochemistry and a Master’s in Biotechnology, Vaibhav brings deep scientific expertise to the company’s mission. His career includes experience in the CRO industry, where he specialized in regulatory compliance, global quality standards, and the translation of research into real-world applications. This foundation instilled a commitment to rigor, transparency, and trust—principles that guide his leadership at Algology.
At Algology, Vaibhav leads R&D, process optimization, and quality systems, ensuring every product reflects both scientific excellence and sustainability. His vision is to make algae-based nutrition accessible worldwide, uniting science and nature to create lasting impact on human and planetary health.
Mohit Mehtaa is the Co-founder and CEO of Algology, where he leads the company’s vision to harness the power of algae to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Guided by the principles of non-violence, veganism, and sustainability, he is committed to developing solutions that create positive impact for the planet, animals, and humanity.
With a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) and experience in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, Mohit brings a unique blend of global business expertise and deep industry knowledge. His leadership at Algology focuses on advancing algae-based innovations to provide sustainable proteins, combat world hunger, and deliver clean nutritional supplementation.
A passionate biohacking enthusiast, Mohit also explores how food compounds influence human health and longevity, reflecting his belief that science and ethics together can drive lasting transformation.
